Nokia 6101

Nokia 6101The Nokia 6101 cellular phone has the same features with Nokia 6102. Nokia 6101 set the bar high with a VGA-quality digital camera with self-portrait and video capture and playback. Plus, there’s an FM stereo radio built-in, and smart instant messaging software that tells you when your friends are online. With all this plus the great Nokia operating system with advanced voice-activated dialing and menu features, you’ll be happy you chose the new Nokia 6101.

On the positive side, I liked it that they have finally thought it fit to include FM radio in one of the newer devices. Its a great thing to have while travelling. The less then 100 grams, light weight Nokia 6101 cellular phone also allows the user to have Mp3 ring tones. Try not to go overboard since the phone has just 3.5 Mb of internal memory for contacts, text messages, multimedia messages, ringing tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list, and applications. If you were dreaming about putting in entire Mp3 songs then loose them right now since there are no expansion slots either.

The handset misses out on Bluetooth as well, it is finally going to depend on the user which functions does he really want. The 6101 does have USB (with pop-port) and Infra red. the USB is good enough for data transfer and synchronisation of picture gallery, contacts and calendar using the PC Suite. Features that make the Nokia 6101 stand out are the push to talk facility, the Nokia Xpress audio messaging (fancy name with better facilities for voice mail) and having an integrated video recorder/ player despite being at the lower end

Pros: Nice phone, 2 screens, speaker, camera & FM radio

Cons: Not enough ringtones, backlight goes off to quickly
