TATTOOMOTO - The Coolest Way to Express Your Style!
Singapore - 21 August 2006 - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), a global leader in wireless communications today announced the global launch of TATTOOMOTO in Singapore. Consumers in Singapore will be the first in the world to have the opportunity to customize their MOTORAZR V3, MOTOSLVR L7 and MOTOSLVR L6 mobile phones to express their personal sense of creativity and individuality.
TATTOOMOTO phone tattoos are specially created for Motorola phones and feature pre-cut tattoo stick-ons with technology from Avery®. TATTOOMOTO designs are free to download from Motorola at www.hellomoto.com/sg/tattoomoto where consumers will be able to choose from a wide range of designs to suit their individual taste and style.
To coincide with the launch of TATTOOMOTO, Motorola Singapore has collaborated with seven local cutting-edge style leaders in the youth and street culture arena. Consumers will be able to download exclusive and one-of-a-kind TATTOOMOTO designs created by Earn Chen of Surrender, Dekonstruct, The Killer Gerbil, Darren Gan from Trexi, Zaki Jufri from PlayTimes, Ronin and Concave Scream.
Marketing Manager, Mobile Devices, Motorola Singapore, Frances Chong said, “TATTOOMOTO phone tattoos are tipped to become the latest must-have for consumers who are looking for unique ways to express their personalities and their creativity. TATTOOMOTO elevates handset personalization to a whole new level.”
To get a Motorola phone tattoo, customers can simply log on to www.hellomoto.com/sg/tattoomoto and download an easy-to-use software to select and customize creative designs for their TATTOOMOTO labels by Avery®. Through the use of the software, selected designs and images can positioned, stretched, resized and/or rotated according to consumers’ personal preferences.
TATTOOMOTO allows Motorola phone users to customize their phones using photos, patterns, designs, colors or anything that inspires them. Users are able to select from a wide selection of TATTOOMOTO designs created by Motorola and local street-style leaders or upload their own designs for use on their TATTOOMOTO labels by Avery®.
After selecting their preferred design, customers simply insert their TATTOOMOTO labels into a color ink-jet printer for printing. The pre-cut TATTOOMOTO labels can then be easily applied onto their Motorola MOTORAZR V3, MOTOSLVR L7 and MOTOSLVR L6. Avery’s specialized adhesive ensures the tattoos are securely stuck on the surface of the phones. Users can change the way their Motorola phones look whenever they want as TATTOOMOTO labels can be easily peeled off without leaving any residue.
“Motorola Singapore will continue to collaborate with local cutting edge designers to create exciting TATTOOMOTO designs. We are very excited to be supporting local designers and creating opportunities for consumers to design and create their own unique tattoos,” continued Chong.
In addition, budding artists who think they have what it takes to be a TATTOOMOTO designer can submit their original designs on www.hellomoto.com/sg/tattoomoto. Consumers will be able to download public-submitted designs for use on their Motorola phones. Each month, the design with the most downloads from consumers will be selected to win a Motorola handset (1).
TATTOOMOTO labels by Avery® are available in Singapore now at good mobile phone outlets at an estimated recommended retail price of S$9.80 per pack of three TATTOOMOTO labels.
