Top Ten Hottest Cell Phones 2006

US Washington : Wirefly released its list of the best-selling cell phones for Winter and Spring, calculated from January 1, 2006 through May 15, 2006. Both the silver and black RAZRs continued to dominate the list outselling all other cellular devices for over a year now.Â
“The popularity and dominance of the Motorola RAZR continues to dramatically outpace its few challengers, but it also appears the other manufacturers are in fast pursuit of Motorola’s reign with several new cell phones that combine form, function and fashion,” said Brian Westrick, President of Wirefly.
Westrick continued, “Wirefly.com has increasingly become a bellwether for consumer trends in wireless, as tens of thousands of people purchase cell phones and rate plans on Wirefly every month after comparing hundreds of phone models from all the major carriers. With that many shoppers, Wirefly has great insight into the hottest trends and more importantly, consumer buying behavior in the wireless market today.”
Wirefly and its affiliates reported record online sales across cell phones from all providers. According to Wirefly, the Top 10 hottest phones for Winter and Spring 2006 are:
1. Motorola RAZR (Silver)
2. Motorola RAZR (Black)
3. Motorola V360 Video Phone
4. Sony Ericsson Z520a Video Phone
5. Motorola V276 Camera Phone
6. Sony Ericsson W600 Walkman Phone
7. Motorola ROKR
8. Samsung T309
9. Nokia 6101 Camera Phone

Jumping to tenth place on Wirefly’s list is the recently released and immediately popular Pink RAZR from Motorola.
