LG Introduced LT75 LCD TV & PT85 Plasma TV With Integrated DVRs
Category: HDTV Reviews, NewsLG Electronics has announced the launch of its new LT75 series of LCD TVs and PT85 series of Plasma TVs with upgraded built-in digital video recorders (DVR). These Freeview playback TVs give their owners more control of their time and save space. LG also added several
new features to its Freeview playback TVs including dual tuners, which allow viewers to watch one programme while recording another, and 160GB of storage space. The LT75 and PT85 series are the first to be Freeview Playback certified. This standard was created by UK DTV Services Limited to promote DVRs by raising consumer trust and awareness. With a 160Gb digital DVRs and dual digital tuners, the Freeview playback TVs are capable of storing up to 48 hours and 10 minutes of digital high quality programming or 86 hours and 20 minutes of digital standard quality programming. This is enough to record all fifty-seven of the EURO 2008 games, scheduling for which may be found using the built-in Electronic Programme Guide.
The LCD LT75 series has soft and subtle curves that break with the idea that TVs must be sharp and rectangular. It incorporates True Viewing Angle technology, which minimizes colour distortion and provides stable and accurately represented images from all angles. The PT85 plasma incorporates Dual Peaks technology, which eliminates flicker, even during fast-moving action scenes, by enabling 100Hz driving. This improves the experience of watching fast-paced action movies or sports.
These televisions are compatible with most cable and satellite set-top boxes and include HDMI, composite, S-video and SCART inputs. The LT75 series is available in 32-, 37-, and 42-inch models and the PT85 series is available in 42- and 50-inch variationsTags:LG LG LCD TV LG plasma tv LT75 PT85
